Hentak Seudati itu tak seperti dulu
Tak adalagi dada dada kokoh untuk ditepuk
Rentak Rapai itu tak seperti dulu
Tangan-tangan terlalu lemah untuk menepuk
Bahkan Ranub Lampuan tak seperti dulu
Tiada sirih yang untuk disajikan
Dan Saman pun tak seperti dulu
Lutut-lutut terlalu lemah untuk menopang
Siapa yang salah??
Siapa biangnya??
Siapa yang menolong??
Siapa yang sedang melolong???
Tahunan menderita
Diterjang peluru amarah
Dilibas kelewang dendam
Tak pantaskah negeri ini tenteram
Allah Tuhan kami
Apa salah kami
Apa dosa kami
Engkau pun menjawab dengan tsunami
Teguranmu begitu keras bagi kami
Sentuhan tanganmu begitu dahsyat bagi kami
Ampuni dosa-dosa kami
Ridhailah kami
Sesungguhnya engkau maha pengampun lagi penyayang

Open Presidential Letter to The President of United States
Dear Mr. President,
The United States of America has been regarded as the ‘guru’ of democracy practices. Yet, we are still hoping to see the proof, especially fair, civilized and humanly democratic practises. Particularly, we would like to see this with respect to the current and future situations in Middle East. More specifically, would like to this with regard to HAMAS victory in the last election in Palestine.
We unfortunately have seen that there is a list of UN resolutions that IsraelUnited States vetoed UN resolutions which are critical to Israel. These show serious distortion on the United States’face democracy and Israel as you ally in the Middle East. has not complied. Moreover, it has been shown to the world that the
Considering a better future in the Middle East region, the United States should recognize HAMAS and not stop providing aid to the Palestinian people. The reasons are as follow :
- HAMAS has won the right to form a government through legitimate democratic means. As they are the winner of democracy in Palestine, the United States should acknowledge, if not hypocritical.
- There is a chance of moderating affect if HAMAS is engaged via democratic means. Therefore, this is worth considering seriously and may be worse if HAMAS is marginalized.
- HAMAS is the key to Middle East peace process. All parties should negatiate with them rather than treaten and/or embargoed them. They should be negotiated to eventually accept geo-political realities.
- Probably most importantly, the United States could use this opportunity to convey a signal to Islamic world that they are fair and uphold democratic values/practices regardless of religion.
It should also be stressed that with regard to peace process in Middle East, all parties should comply with UN Resolutions and Oslo Agreements.
Best wishes for a safer and better world,
Central Board of Prosperous Justice Party (PKS)
IR. H. TIFATUL SEMBIRING
PRESIDENT
